Infrastructure to get stuff done
Travelling to a new continent can be very scary. We provide all the infrastructure you need to stay connected.
Coworking
We have an 8 desk coworking office with a call booth. It’s a quiet working space and if you have regular calls your room might be a better option.
- Air conditioned
- Swivel chairs
- External monitors
- Colour MFP
If you’re looking somewhere more relaxed you can also work in the restaurant or by the pool 🙂
Internet
We have a managed network on site with three uplinks, two fibre and one starlink connection. These are load balanced on a pfsense Netgate router so that if one connection goes down or degrades the others take up the slack.
The power onsite is hybrid solar with a generator backup. In addition, the network infrastructure including uplinks is on a UPS with an approx 6 hour battery life.
So the internet should stay on no matter what.
Speed test below from 9th July 2024.
Solar power & Backup power
Kenya is right near the equator making it perfect for solar power. We have around 20kW of installed solar with 30kWh of lithium batteries.
This means that most of our day time power consumption is covered by the sun and in the evening we have backup in case of any power cuts.
On top of the solar set-up we also have a backup generator that is set-up to run automatically if there’s a power cut and the batteries get too low.

Coffee
We have a Simoneli Musica coffee machine and a Eureka Atom 75 coffee grinder.
We keep a selection of coffee beans available from normal options to more exotic single source carbonic macerated beans that you’ll never find in a shop.
