It’s always good to have a nice day trip to keep things interesting. Here are some of the most popular options that our guests have enjoyed the most.
Diani Beach
The top attraction in Diani is the beach with around 14km of white sands beaches it is stunning and generally not very busy other than Sundays.
Kongo River Sunset
A small estuary at the northern end of the town it’s a perfect spot to watch the sunset. You can organise a boat trip with a picnic on the beach.
Wasini Island National Marine Reserve
Around an hour’s drive from Diani is a town called Shimoni. The town is the starting point for boat trips to explore the national marine park.
In the park it’s normal to see dolphins as well as other marine wildlife while snorkling. Boat trips leave daily with pickups from the door in the morning.
Kinodo Sacred Forest
Kaya Kinondo Sacred Forest in Diani is a revered site for the local Digo people, featuring ancient coastal forest rich in biodiversity and cultural heritage. Visitors can take guided tours to learn about the spiritual significance and traditional practices of the Digo community.
The forest is home to large baobab trees, unique plants with medicinal uses, and colobus monkeys, making it both an ecological and cultural treasure.
Africa Pool
A natural underwater cave and rock formation in the neighbouring town of Tiwi the African pool is an easy trip.
It’s especially good if you organise it with our Head of Fun Leli who can set up an authentic jiko BBQ and cook up some fresh chicken near the beach.
Colobus Conservation
Colobus Conservation in Diani is dedicated to the protection and preservation of the Angolan colobus monkey and other primates native to the area. This non-profit organization focuses on reducing human-wildlife conflict through various initiatives, including habitat conservation, community education, and animal welfare programs.
Visitors can tour the center to learn about the conservation efforts, see the monkeys up close, and understand the challenges faced by these primates. The center also rescues and rehabilitates injured or orphaned monkeys, making it a key player in local wildlife conservation efforts.
Bora Bora Wildlife Park
Bora Bora Wildlife Park in Diani is a wonderful spot for nature lovers and families. It features lush greenery and offers guided tours with knowledgeable guides who share interesting facts about the animals.
Visitors can interact with and feed giraffes, zebras, and ostriches. The park provides educational and interactive experiences, making it a perfect place for an enjoyable and informative visit
