Skippers policies
All of our properties are adult +18 only for accommodation in all locations. All rooms are subject to availability, terms and conditions. Rates as quoted online or directly to guests are done so based on duration, availability, season (high/low), and occupancy.
- Noise – Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.
- Visitors – Only registered guests are permitted to enter the premises after 10:00 p.m. Additional occupancy is charged at 2,500KES pp per night.
- Pets – No pets are allowed on the property.
- Smoking/Vaping – A 15,000 KES cleaning charge applies for smoking or vaping inside rooms or enclosed areas.
- Our team – Verbal or physical abuse towards staff or other guests will not be tolerated. Offenders will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
Illegal activity of any kind, including prostitution, drug use or possession, or harassment, is strictly prohibited.
Skippers is a coliving and we have a standard ‘do not be a dick’ policy while staying. Please consider your behaviour while staying with us and if someone could consider your behaviour to be ‘dickish’ then please reconsider your approach.
Examples could include watching tiktoks at an obnoxious volume while sitting on your terrace or leaving the fitness equipment or a shared kitchen in an untidy manner.
Terms & Conditions
- Guest registration – All guests must present a valid government-issued photo ID or passport at check-in, in compliance with the Hotels and Restaurants Act, Cap 494, Laws of Kenya. Information may be shared with authorities as required by law. Room max. occupancy may not be exceeded.
- Payment – Room charges and incidentals must be settled before or at check-out. Additional charges may apply for damage, loss, or excessive cleaning.
- Conduct & safety – The property reserves the right to refuse service or require any guest to leave for unsafe, illegal, or disruptive behaviour, with no refund.
- Liability – The property is not responsible for theft, loss, or damage to unattended personal belongings.
- Facilities use – Guests use all facilities at their own risk.
Governing law – These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Personal details are collected in line with the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019 for registration and legal compliance, and may be shared with authorities if required by law.
